Committing to Working Out: Stronger Body / Stronger Mind

Will working out consistency help be become a better preacher?


It has been three months now since I have been going to the gym average of 6 days a week. This has been a new journey for me because the longest that I have been in the gym has been 3 months. My goal is to see how I can transform my mind and my body over the next few years. The plan is to read the Ministry of Healing and to learn more about living a healthier lifestyle.


Finding my why? From talking to mentors and deep prayer this all comes down to loving Jesus. Jesus ask us to care for our bodies and I want to enjoy the blessings that come from training my body to have a more fulfilling life.


Genesis 1:29 - And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. (ESV)


Healing through fitness


" We cannot be too often reminded that health does not depend on chance. It is a result of obedience to law. This is recognized by the contestants in athletic games and trials of strength. These men make the most careful preparation. They submit to thorough training and strict discipline. Every physical habit is carefully regulated. They know that neglect, excess, or carelessness, which weakens or cripples any organ or function of the body, would ensure defeat." Ministry of Healing 128.2

Get up and get active!

I have learned over the last few months that working out has helped my mind work better and I look forward to fitness and weightlifting becoming my new sport and journey.
