Preaching The Gospel in Cuba

I prayed to God to win one soul in Cuba. My prayer was simple: “Lord, just give me one.” God answered, but it wasn't what I expected. On the first Sabbath in Cuba, I baptized not one, but three people who chose to follow Jesus. Their journey began months ago with the work of Bible workers and missionaries. Our task was to bring in the harvest. My recent trip to Cuba was life-changing. I saw the church united in spreading the Gospel. I hope more students get to experience preaching in Cuba, to see faith and community in action.

Learning Experience:

The trip gave me a deep understanding of Cuban culture and people. What struck me most was the warmth and kindness of the Cuban people. From our host family to the community, everyone welcomed us warmly. This hospitality taught me the importance of genuine connections and compassion, even in tough times.

I participated in community service, played with kids, and had haircuts during the trip. Despite the language barrier, I delivered sermons in Spanish, trusting in God's grace. This experience strengthened my faith and reminded me of the importance of spreading the Gospel.

Seeing over 400 people choose baptism showed me the power of faith. Witnessing their commitment to Jesus was humbling. It reminded me of the impact of ministry and Jesus' command to spread the Gospel.

Impact on My Life:

The trip challenged me to step out of my comfort zone by preaching in Spanish. I saw how God worked through language barriers, reminding me of the miracle of Pentecost. Witnessing the Cuban people's resilience and faith deepened my own faith.

Cuba ignited a passion in me for mission and evangelism. Seeing so many accept Jesus reaffirmed my calling to share the Gospel.

Shaping Future Ministry:

Reflecting on my time in Cuba, I'm excited to see how it will shape my ministry. Cultural insights from the trip will influence how I approach ministry, especially in the US. I want to create a welcoming church environment, drawing from the hospitality I experienced in Cuba.

Preaching in Spanish and engaging with a different culture gave me valuable skills for ministry. I'm committed to breaking down barriers between communities.

In conclusion, my trip to Cuba changed me. It deepened my faith and passion for spreading the Gospel. I'm grateful for the experience and eager to see how it shapes my future ministry.
