Part 1 - Jiří Moskala - Introduction to Preaching - Witnessing for Jesus at 10 years Old

Imagine how it was to grow up and preach in a communist country. I learned that "good pressure in life leads us closer to God." - Jiří Moskala. It makes sense why one would fall in love with theology because you would have to solidify your faith when atheism is so prevalent. It is proof that God was leading the life of Jiří Moskala to go from young preacher to pastor, then dean of the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary in Berrien Springs, Michigan.

God gave Jiří Moskala the desire to preach when he was ten. He had a burning desire as a boy to share Jesus. He would write small messages on small pieces of paper, pass by parks, and start conversations about Christ. Jiří had that fire to witness Jesus from such a young age. That fire continued to grow as he led youth groups in the church. He got his early start at 17, traveling and preaching. By the age of 20, he entered seminary.

This is living proof that Pastors would be greatly blessed by training and equipping young preachers to preach the Gospel. When we give our youth opportunities to preach the burning desire to preach Jesus with passion will grow.

Witnessing is such a significant part of our journey with Christ. Witnessing allows us to share our love for Jesus.

This testimony of witnessing reminds us of a scripture found in John 1:6-13

John's Witness: The True Light

6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That[b] was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His [c]own, and His [d]own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the [e]right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
