Transition to the Main Point :
Main Point / Thesis: Jesus the Logos - The theme of these eighteen verses is the coming into the world of the preexistent Logos as Jesus Christ, the true Light, in order to make God the Father known to humans who, by believing in Christ, become the children of God.
Transition to the Problem:
Problem Unbelief robbing God of His worthy praise: Why was John reading this. There was a need due to the false teaching that was happening during the early church. Mankind not looking at the Word as their living hope. Not looking at the Word as good and true.
The material world has not created itself. Yet the majority of popular culture does not worship God. Even though everything in the material world owes its existence to God. Mental, all thoughts that are good. Moral: all the morals in this world that are good. All the personal things that we have or have acquired come from God. Without the living light of the Word we dwell in darkness.
Solution: Look to Jesus the Mighty Logos & Believe
John is a Gospel written for a specific purpose: that we might believe. A key verse for understanding the Gospel of John is found at the end of the book: But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name (John 20:31). John is highlighting Jesus not only as the logos but the creator of The Word , the Word Himself that Created all things…The Sustainer of all things and the power of Jesus Christ. John 1:14 - And the Word tbecame uflesh and dwelt among us, and vwe beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, wfull of grace and truth.
KEY POINT of the Logos - Jesus is speaking to our souls and transforming us: Lego ( To Speak) The Word - Now this Word speaks to our hearts and souls. Jesus the Word speaks to our hearts and transforms our lives. Will you allow Jesus to transform your life and fill your life with light that is your life today and for eternity?
God is using the act of speaking, speech, writing, the use of words to share His Living Word to speak to our hearts at the foundation of our Souls because He knew us, knows us today and loves us. His mission is to place His light in us. His life in us. His eternal life so that the word “Death” will never have any power over us. The Mighty Logos Jesus is the Mighty Logos.
Main Point : (Restate Main Point ) _ Jesus is the Might Logos
"Mighty Logos, Mighty Logos, Jesus is the Mighty Logos"
Logos Revealing God - John 1 with its reference to God‘s revealing word, for the word is no independent entity but points to him who in living reality speaks it. That Christ came to reveal the character, mind and will of the Father, even as speech is the expression of ideas. The Logos identifies Christ as the incarnate expression of the will of the Father that all men should be saved (1 Tim. 2:4), as “God’s thought made audible” (DA 19). - Sda Bible Commentary
Poem : from the Song Firm Foundation - Maverick City Music
Christ is my firm foundation
The rock on which I stand
When everything around me is shaken
I've never been more glad
That I put my faith in Jesus
'Cause He's never let me down
He's faithful through generations
So why would He fail now?
He won't
