Hyveth Williams being used by God to preach the Word! "Leaders with a Limp" - Genesis 32:22-31

Dr. Hyveth starts with the quote "Never trust a leader who does not have a limp."

Overall I have learned from the power of Dr. Williams' writing and cadence. Not only did the sermon have something to do with my life but the Word of God through Dr. Williams spoke to my soul. Now I know why she is boldly known as "the Phil Jackson of preaching." The reason why her words resonated with me so much is because often times we try to hide our defaults and defects and those limps make us great leaders because they force and inspire us to lead on Jesus as our foundation.

What I loved about this sermon is the presence of Dr. Williams because you can see that she was there in the moment enjoying the Word of God. It's a blessings when a preacher is organically them. What I observe is a preacher saved by grace heralding about their mighty graceful Creator and sustainer. You can hear through Dr.Williams voice someone who has witnessed the love of God through all the limps in the journey.

My Sermon Notes/ Reaction

God uses a description of Himself with a man with a limp.

"I am the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob"

Transitions through phrases with questions like ... "Why does ... God?"
